Hybrid III designed by Andre Janecki [59]

The web version of Andre’s article does not contain photos and captions, hence is much shorter than the original publication in the Club magazine.

The first model of Hybrid III, designed and built in 2002, was the first stitch and glue sea kayak to be designed and built with 3 panels per side. Constructed from marine grade plantation plywood, the hard chine mid section helps to create easy turning, without the need for a rudder, whilst the bow and stern sections retain an efficient shape.Kayaks that we have completed were either for our own development and use or for friends who approached us wanting a kayak specifically for their size and ability.
